About The Position

The Airborne RF Electronics Design (ARFED) Department empowers people to deliver innovative, affordable and producible products and technologies to support airborne Radar solutions throughout the full product lifecycle while remaining accountable for program execution cost, schedule, and performance. We provide best in industry technologies that align product capabilities to the needs of our customers and end- users. As a Senior Electrical Engineer supporting production, you will be part of a team of highly talented engineers that work on highly complex Radar products and test sets. You will be working as an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) of a production support team in McKinney, Texas.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • A minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience with electronics and electrical circuits as well as ability to isolate failures to root cause.
  • Experience reading & interpreting drawings and electrical schematics
  • Experience with lab equipment such as multimeters, signal sources, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers
  • Experience working on a production program
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Troubleshooting experience with digital, RF, or high voltage products
  • Experience with supplier engagement
  • Experience with documenting test results and engineering recommendations clearly and concisely
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics, Matlab, or PSPICE
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with leadership and colleagues.
  • Ability to proactively solve problems and provide technical leadership to a team

Responsibilities

  • Support production of one of our product lines.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to circuit card assembly.(CCA)/Module and component levels to include analog/digital/RF/power circuitry and interfaces.
  • Troubleshooting test sets down to component level to include analog and digital interfaces, etc. includes software.
  • Work in a team environment to ensure the production and sustainment timelines are maintained.
  • Analysis of test data of products to make sure test specifications are met.
  • Reading and interpreting and applying engineering drawings, including assembly drawings, parts lists, wire lists, and schematics.
