About The Position

The Electric Power Systems team within the Power and Controls SBU is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) Leader to play a key role in supporting new product development across design, analysis, and testing. In this role, you’ll have the chance to contribute throughout the entire engineering lifecycle from guiding the program at its conception to hands-on problem solving and root cause investigations. Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience managing projects involving mechanical system design, testing, and manufacturing.
  • Background in structural and thermal analysis with 3D design software.
  • Proficient in Excel (VBA, Solver) and MS Project for planning and analysis.
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS.
  • Project engineering experience, including technical oversight, coordination, decision-making, and problem-solving across multi-discipline teams.

Responsibilities

  • Create, track, and execute program plans, including budgets and schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with management, suppliers, customers, and members of the technical design team.
  • Lead design discussions and customer presentations.
  • Participate in engineering investigations to determine and verify root causes, then implement corrective actions.
  • Adhere to and develop engineering standard work.
  • Respond to supplier or plant-site issues, analyze problems, and implement solutions for operational and customer concerns.
