About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Mining to play a pivotal role in strengthening our operational reporting, driving data accuracy, supporting planning processes, and advancing how we use technology across the organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 7+ years of mining industry experience, ideally with exposure to both operations and continuous improvement.
  • Strong background in mining systems and software (e.g., Minestar, Minesight, Deswik, Wenco, Xeras).
  • Exceptional analytical skills with strong proficiency in data systems and mining software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual English/French is a strong asset.
  • Solid financial literacy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative, solutions-focused approach with demonstrated leadership abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications in Finance, data science, data engineering, or computer science are an asset.
  • Experience in large-scale mining or project management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Champion IAMGOLD’s safety culture to ensure safe day-to-day operational outcomes.
  • Support initiatives that advance our Zero Harm and Zero Carbon goals.
  • Lead preparation for Annual Budget Meetings and support long‑range planning.
  • Maintain and enhance corporate dashboards that track operational costs and performance.
  • Consolidate MRMR reports at corporate and site levels (mid-year, year-end).
  • Produce rolling forecasts and Board-level operations reporting.
  • Support weekly and monthly site reporting with accuracy and consistency.
  • Oversee operations data management to ensure integrity and alignment with IAMGOLD’s data strategy.
  • Validate site reporting using monthly reconciled data.
  • Lead cost analysis across Opex and Capex plans, supporting optimization initiatives.
  • Contribute to the Operations Support Hub by documenting best practices and supporting knowledge sharing.
  • Facilitate training sessions for stakeholders across the organization.
  • Advance reporting optimization through integrated operational platforms.
  • Support the Technology Library and assist with evaluating new tools.
  • Participate in technology project peer reviews to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Foster industry partnerships that help drive innovation and technology adoption across the mining lifecycle.
