About The Position

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Senior Engineer, Pipeline Integrity located in Houston, TX. Position Summary The Senior Engineer, Pipeline Integrity is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the philosophies, strategies, processes, and tools necessary to assure pipeline equipment and infrastructure integrity throughout its intended lifecycle. The scope of work includes all physical assets associated with DOT regulated pipeline systems including pipelines, compressor stations, valve sets, and meter stations. The Senior Engineer, Pipeline Integrity will serve as the technical authority of the integrity program, partnering with engineering, reliability, operations, maintenance, and corrosion management personnel to ensure physical assets are captured on the asset registry, assessed for criticality, and subjected to appropriate inspections. The Senior Engineer, Pipeline Integrity will scope and oversee inspection programs, consolidate and analyze inspection and integrity data, establish performance targets, and provide recommendations for further evaluation or remediation. Additionally, the senior integrity engineer will establish, track, and report integrity-related performance monitoring indicators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant technical discipline (required).
  • Minimum 10+ years Pipeline (API 1163) and/or Facilities (API 510/570/653) Integrity Inspection Experience (emphasis on pipeline)
  • Strong understanding of DOT 192 Gas Transmission Pipeline Regulations
  • Strong, working knowledge of gas pipeline transmission systems, processes, and associated equipment
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and OEM technical manuals
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain fit-for-purpose asset integrity governance documents, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain integrity management plans for pipelines and facilities.
  • Scope and oversee integrity inspection programs (methods, intervals, data analysis, etc) for pipeline (ILI), facility (pressure vessels, process piping, and tanks), and pressure relief systems.
  • Be available in the field to provide technical support to inspection, construction, repair, and operational activities.
  • Work with reliability engineers, maintenance, and operations to establish and apply risk-based inspection principals and fundamentals.
  • Maintain integrity inspection databases (NDT, corrosion monitoring, vibration analysis, pressure relief systems).
  • Develop mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct engineering assessments and fitness-for-duty assessments.
  • Facilitate root-cause analysis for degradation, failures, or anomalies.
