About The Position

Olsson offers its clients a full spectrum of water and wastewater services, including a complete line of planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services. Maintaining water quality is Olsson’s number one concern, and we are able to respond to a broad set of client demands in a timely and cost-effective manner. As a Senior Engineer on the Water/Wastewater team, you’ll provide high-level technical support and lead quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) activities that drive excellence in water and wastewater engineering. In this role, you’ll apply your expertise to make recommendations and decisions regarding project design work. You will work closely with other team members and engineers on wastewater collection and treatment projects, along with water supply, storage, treatment, and distribution. Typical projects include sanitary sewer piping, wastewater pump stations, wastewater treatment facilities, water piping, water supply wells, water storage tanks, and water treatment facilities. Travel may be needed to job sites for observation in all types of terrain and weather conditions, as well as project sites in various stages of construction. Opportunities to mentor younger or less experienced staff may be available along with client relations.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • At least 10 years of related water/wastewater experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer required.
  • Experience in AutoCAD or other related software experience.
  • Passion for detailed work.
