Position Summary We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Engineer to join our team in building modernized platform for Legal and Public policy LOB. This role blends leadership and design, requiring deep expertise in modern technologies. The Senior Engineer will guide cross-functional teams in delivering high-impact features, ensuring alignment with business objectives, technical standards, and agile delivery practices. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in leading teams working in Java (or .NET although Java is preferred), Angular, Oracle, Kafka, redis, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and leading cloud migrations for vendor applications.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in preparing for and deploying applications on Azure cloud (for vendor products)
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with Azure services.
• Ability to design secure and compliant cloud architectures leveraging IAM, encryption, and monitoring best practices.
• Proven experience in optimizing cloud infrastructure for scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Recent experience in designing and developing distributed data systems using Java (Enterprise Edition), Oracle SQL, and Angular.
• Experience using Java/J2EE technologies to develop scalable enterprise-grade applications, libraries, and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with messaging systems like Kafka.
• Utilized DevOps technologies for CI/CD including Ansible, Jenkins, JFrog, and Git.
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of engineers.
• Strong understanding of software development, testing, deployment, and support using agile methodologies.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate) and advanced SQL.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to write specifications and design documents.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with business and internal teams to gather requirements and develop solutions
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring team members
• Designing and developing distributed data systems using Java (Enterprise Edition), Oracle SQL, and Angular.
• Designing and developed solution architecture to scale backend systems with Spring framework, Spring MVC, and RESTful APIs.
• Designing and implemented database development on Oracle Exadata.
