About The Position

Managers within Technology at Nordstrom help create an inspiring workplace where talented people are empowered to drive exceptional customer experiences and business results. Through broad industry and practice knowledge and hands-on technical management experience, the Manager guides a team of professionals to execute the strategy and tactics that deliver desired results. This role leads a team within Nordstrom's Selling Control & Pricing Engineering organization. Your team ensures that customers can actually buy the products they want - owning the systems that determine item availability, manage selling business rules, and surface inventory across channels. When your systems work well, millions of SKUs are sellable; when they don't, revenue stops. What makes this role unique: You'll also have the opportunity to shape an emerging AI-powered agent - a generative AI product that orchestrates real-time calls across multiple production APIs to diagnose why items aren't purchasable. This is greenfield work with executive visibility and growing business adoption, with a roadmap toward proactive insights and automated remediation.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts - bonus if you've shipped AI-powered products or worked with LLMs
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices: CI/CD, observability, alerting, and incident management
  • Strong project management instincts - able to drive roadmaps, manage dependencies, and keep complex initiatives on track
  • Excellent communication skills - can translate technical complexity for business stakeholders
