About The Position

As GameChanger continues to grow, we are looking for a Senior Engineering Operations Manager to partner with the VP of Engineering in running a clear and well-operated engineering organization. You will report to the VP of Engineering and lead the engineering operating cadence, executive readiness, and core operational systems that allow engineering leaders to focus on strategy, leadership, and outcomes. This is a hands-on, operational role with success defined by durable systems, predictable rhythms, and improved organizational clarity. Over time, the role may evolve into a broader Chief of Staff–style position as we grow.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience leading or owning operations, business operations, or program functions within an engineering, product, or technology organization.
  • Experience owning or operating planning processes, operating cadence, and leadership workflows for technical teams.
  • Demonstrated experience creating executive- and board-facing materials, including written updates, summaries, or operating artifacts for senior leadership.
  • Experience partnering with VP- or C-level leaders, supporting prioritization and coordination across teams.
  • Experience designing, improving, or scaling operational systems and workflows, including the use of automation or AI to reduce repetitive work.
  • Experience translating complex technical work into clear, structured narratives for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve the engineering operating schedule, including planning cycles, leadership meetings, updates, retrospectives, and budget-related workflows, with clear standards and expectations across the organization.
  • Be the operational partner to the VP of Engineering. Translate strategic priorities into clear operating rhythms, decision forums, and artifacts. Ensure follow-through without requiring daily executive involvement.
  • Prepare executive- and board-facing engineering materials, ensuring narratives are consistent and supported by data.
  • Be the central point of ownership for engineering operations, tracking commitments, action items, and follow-ups with appropriate context and urgency.
  • Design and improve automation and AI-enabled workflows for notes, summaries, updates, and decision support to reduce manual coordination and scale operations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, Data, and Finance to ensure alignment on planning, execution, and communication.
  • Monitor organizational health, identifying patterns, risks, and bottlenecks and surfacing observations to engineering leadership.
  • Quarterly travel to our New York HQ for planning, alignment, and leadership meetings.
