  • Technical school degree (2‑year program), or bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years’ experience, or 7 years of equivalent industry experience
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, particularly with ALD/Thin Films tools
  • Experience performing root‑cause analysis and driving corrective actions
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance standards and documentation practices
  • Ability to use basic computer tools for logging and tracking work
  • Clear communication skills and ability to train others
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast‑paced team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ASM ALD systems across multiple configurations
  • Ability to integrate data from multiple subsystems and apply system‑level thinking to resolve complex issues
  • Experience with gas delivery, thermal control, and process‑hardware correlation
  • Skilled in using statistics or data analysis tools for predictive maintenance and trend identification
  • Experience mentoring technicians and contributing to diagnostic process improvements
  • Proven ability to collaborate across engineering and cross‑functional teams to implement lasting solutions

Responsibilities

  • Perform major preventive maintenance on ALD/Thin Films equipment and maintain multiple ASM toolset configurations in optimal condition
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, thermal, vacuum, and system‑level issues to restore tool performance
  • Conduct leak checking, subsystem diagnostics, and detailed equipment inspections
  • Apply deep understanding of tool architecture and process integration to support complex troubleshooting
  • Diagnose issues across interconnected subsystems, integrating data and system behavior to isolate root causes
  • Identify trends related to gas‑delivery performance, thermal control, and process deviations, and collaborate to resolve them
  • Perform root‑cause analysis (such as 5 Whys), document findings, and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Fine‑tune tool parameters and support troubleshooting requiring both hardware and process insight
  • Maintain accurate part‑replacement, maintenance, and activity records
  • Mentor junior technicians and contribute to continuous improvement of troubleshooting protocols
