About The Position

The Senior Architect Enterprise Endpoint designs and implements UC endpoint, digital signage, video, and teleconferencing (Cisco and Polycom) systems for waiting rooms, conference rooms, training rooms, and various other video requirements for all new U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Office of Information Technology (OIT). Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a similar Information Technology Field.
  • Skillset/work experience equivalent to Cisco CCNP Collaboration with a focus on Design and Planning, and a minimum of 7 years of experience working within the IT field, with a focus on UC delivery mechanisms.
  • Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Create documentation that establishes and defines these standards, which will capture the key features of all standards, their service use-cases, and the solutions implemented across the enterprise to facilitate installations using these standards.
  • Maintain endpoint design standards and offer improvements & suggestions to USCIS as new technologies and systems become available, thereby ensuring the evolution of the AV standards to take advantage of approved technological improvements.
  • Build Guides are required for all systems and software installed on the enterprise. This documentation will include Visio drawings of the installations, documentation of the configurations, serial numbers, and software, and asset management information, and include all support and dependencies needed for the operational system endpoints. This build guide should be comprehensive enough allow for a qualified person to be able to duplicate any installation using the information provided within the guide, building the software or hardware from its original delivery up through a full production environment usage asset.
  • Provide support and assistance in UC fault isolation and performance management processes as requested for all endpoint and endpoint support elements.
  • Lead UC endpoint architecture efforts, drive process improvement, delivery efficiency, and provide specifications of existing architecture to which solutions are defined, managed, and delivered. Ensure documentation is created and updated based on UC network changes.
