About The Position

Hill International is seeking a Sr. Estimator in Pomona, California Responsibilities Develops and maintains detailed cost estimates for major and/or multi-year projects, including scope take-off, estimate labor, materials, contract, indirect, and allowances, and maintain (and reconcile) various versions of cost estimates. Facilitates review process to ensure cost estimates are accurate and structured in a manner that meets major and multi-year projects or program requirements (e.g., work breakdown structure, Continuous Property Records, FERC/CPUC jurisdictional splits, and cost elements/drivers). Performs complex and detailed research, updates, and data gathering/analysis in areas of cost estimating (e.g. unit pricing, market trends, economic feasibility study). Collaborates with and obtains data/information from various project stakeholders; ability to communicate effectively and develop and maintain strong working relationships with team Prepares project controls data request responses and work papers in supporting corporate/OU governance (e.g. Business Oversight Team and Capital Review Team), internal/external audits, General Rate Cases, and any pertinent regulatory filings. Provides training in areas of expertise to develop future project controls professionals. Qualifications A combination of education, training, and experience, generally equivalent to those typically possessed by a 4-year college graduate. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Mathematical background preferred. 7+ years estimating experience. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software, plus Project Controls and Cost Estimating software. Utility construction, CA regulated, regulatory, and EPC estimation experience preferred. InEight experience preferred. Must be local to Southern California. Hybrid work schedule with occasional site visits. Requirements

  • A combination of education, training, and experience, generally equivalent to those typically possessed by a 4-year college graduate.
  • 7+ years estimating experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software, plus Project Controls and Cost Estimating software.
  • Must be local to Southern California.
