About The Position

We are looking for a Factory Planner, to join our team based in Houston and/or Dallas TX, to support Contract Manufacturing (CM) execution. Factory Planner will make sure material, capacity, logistics and all manufacturing road blockers are properly cleared, and products can be delivered on time. Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing and supply chain management processes; able to work independently and drive tasks to completion in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 12-15 years of working experience in the Contract Manufacturing or Production planning field.
  • Bachelor of Science in Operations, Manufacturing Management, Logistics or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in business software applications such as Microsoft Office, Excel, SAP, MRP – Excellent analytical skills and hands-on with excel to analyze data - formulas, pivot tables.
  • Ability to write excels macros is a plus.
  • Language: Excellent English skills on reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Personality: highly organized, detailed orientated, a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, track, and publish daily builds status.
  • Drive CM factory to resolve forecast vs. CM commit gaps, supply vs. demand shortages, ad-hoc changes, bone pile recovery, and customer critical issues.
  • Serve as an escalation path between CM and NVIDIA.
  • Identify factory constraints.
  • Communicate and work closely with Production or Supply planning to provide the best trade-off decisions.
  • Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and factory metrics including On-Time Delivery, Capacity Utilization, Cycle Time, Idle Time, and Inventory accuracy.
  • Identify production gaps, root causes, and implement continuous improvement plans, via weekly and quarterly reviews.
  • Inventory control – conduct weekly cycle count reconciliation for consigned and finished goods, monitor turnkey components and critical components shortages, and work with cross functional teams to close the inventory gaps.
  • Monitor and resolve B2B issues with Contract Manufacturer in a timely manner to ensure no impact to daily shipping performance.
  • Support the tracking and publishing of daily RMA status.
  • Work with Contract Manufacturing to complete RMA schedules in the standard negotiated lead time.
  • Handle CM accounts and access authorization for CM users.
  • Setting up CM, SLOC (inventory sub-locations) as needed.
  • Request Ad-hoc Over Time requirement, quote, track, and validate blanket PO coverage and usage.
