Position Summary: Xylem is looking for a Senior Field Service technician to report to our Arlington, TX facility and service our customers in the surrounding areas. What your day will look like as a Field Service Technician: The Field Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of our water purification equipment, utilizing a company service vehicle, within our Light Industries Division. Equipment specific training will be provided. Willing to train the right person, but previous technical/mechanical/plumbing experience is especially encouraged. This position has general day shift hours with overtime opportunities and a compensated on-call rotation with occasional afternoons/weekends. Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Industry specific licenses preferred
  • Ability to obtain TWIC card
  • Ability to coach and train entry-level technicians
  • 2-5 years technical experience including industrial or commercial process water experience
  • Experience with Microsoft office including smart devices
  • Must have customer service experience
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and trouble shooting ability
  • Able to operate company service vehicle safely
  • Able to pass background check & pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains safe working environment and cultures within the organization
  • Takes care of company property
  • Proactively trouble shoots systems for mechanical, electrical equipment conditions
  • Anticipates and corrects safety issues – both company and customer owned equipment
  • Direct interfacing with customers
  • May be responsible for work in multiple systems, locations or customers
  • Provides coaching
