About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance IS and Analytics Specialist at UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement, based in our Evanston, Illinois, office. The Senior Finance IS and Analytics Specialist is responsible for the effective management and administration of Finance Information Systems for UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement organizations. The Senior Finance IS and Analytics Specialist oversees the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the Finance (Workday) system and ensuring its alignment with all Finance strategies and objectives. Working under the Finance department, this role collaborates closely with various stakeholders, including Finance teams, IT departments, and senior management, to enhance Finance processes and streamline data management. What you’ll learn and achieve: As the Senior Finance IS and Analytics Specialist, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you: Oversee the entire Finance lifecycle, including implementations, configurations, maintenance, and upgrades. Ensure the smooth operation and functionality of Finance and its data integrity. Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure accurate, consistent, and secure Finance data. Own the configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Workday Adaptive Planning environment. Stay ahead of platform updates and industry best practices, proactively recommending enhancements. Identify opportunities to streamline Finance processes and enhances system functionality, recommending and implementing appropriate solutions. Provide training and support to Finance staff and system users to ensure efficient and effective utilization of the Finance Modules. Collaborate with Finance vendors to address system issues and implement enhancements. Ensure Finance compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies, maintaining data privacy and confidentiality. Lead and/or support Fin-related projects, including system upgrades, integrations, testing of the system, and new module implementations. Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including Finance teams, IT departments, and senior management. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of FIN processes, procedures, and system configurations. Contribute to and/or lead other department specific and cross-functional initiatives. Requirements

• Strong technical proficiency in Finance systems (Workday) and related tools.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive Finance data appropriately.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience supporting Finance systems administration.
• Prior experience with Workday is required.
• In-depth knowledge of Finance processes, policies, and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous functional Adaptive Planning deployment experience preferred.
• Relevant certifications or specialized training in Finance/Workday system is a plus.
