About the position

Reporting to the Manager, finance you will partner with the business and teams to ensure that the organization's marketing spending is efficient. You will help enhance and further the marketing spend process and technology. You will also provide finance expertise to the Marketing COE and Brand Marketing teams. You will to provide relevant business analytics and recommendations to management, from both a financial and a strategic lens. May perform business analytics, assistance in building the Annual Operating Plan & Strategic Plan, monthly forecasting, risk & opportunity planning, metrics & scorecards, and ad-hoc analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Support actual and forecast Marketing spend reporting including analyzing monthly variances between actual results, current forecast, plan, and prior year.
  • Be a partner for the cross functional teams on accounting and finance related questions.
  • Manage updates to the monthly forecast for brands based on spending changes.
  • Work with Brand and Marketing teams to understand the changes and ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate changes to partners by providing specific, applicable and forward-looking commentary on the changes and guidance on potential risk.
  • Contribute to month-end/quarter-end close activities to ensure completion of assigned tasks, including identification and resolution of issues using our financial reporting system (BPC) and our Strategic Investment Funding Tool (SIFT).
  • Lead the development of metrics, scorecards and reporting based on new technology and communicate progress on metrics.
  • Partner with our Information Technology team to resolve issues and enhancements to the SIFT functionality and to ensure that SIFT is incorporated in the S4 SAP Implementation.
  • Help develop self-service and management reporting through functional knowledge of the following systems: BPC, Power BI, and Business Intelligence.
  • Lead finance wide projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
  • 5+ years of professional general business and financial experience.
  • Experience in P&L management, along with knowledge of financial systems and general accounting concepts.
  • Experience working across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Power BI, Power Apps, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Experience with SAP/BPC or other multi-dimensional database tools preferred.
