Job Summary This role provides financial support to the Optum Health Technology and Care Delivery Technology organizations, with a primary focus on headcount (FTE) tracking, FTE related expenses, and vendor technology costs. The analyst will organize and analyze financial data to create clear, accurate, and insightful reporting that supports decision making by CIO leaders and Optum Health business partners. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working across finance and technology teams to translate complex data into a clear financial story. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or a related analytical role
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven solid analytical skills with solid attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both finance and non finance partners
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting technology, IT, or operational organizations
  • Experience preparing materials for senior leadership or executive audiences
  • Exposure to headcount management, workforce analytics, or vendor cost tracking
  • Familiarity with large, matrixed organizations or healthcare/technology environments

Responsibilities

  • Track, analyze, and maintain accurate reporting of: FTE headcount
  • FTE related expenses (compensation, benefits, allocations)
  • Vendor and third party technology costs
  • Partner closely with Optum Health Technology and Care Delivery Technology leaders to support ongoing financial management and forecasting
  • Organize financial data into clear, structured views that enable storytelling and executive level insights for CIOs and Optum Health business partners
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports, summaries, and presentations for leadership reviews
  • Support month end, forecast, and budget activities related to technology and workforce spend
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment across multiple financial sources and reporting tools
  • Collaborate with peers across finance, technology, and operations to resolve data questions and drive shared understanding
