About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst serves as the primary financial liaison for our manufacturing operations. You will take ownership of the plant's financial integrity, ensuring that every pound of raw material and hour of labor is accounted for accurately. This is an operationally focused role that blends traditional finance with hands-on "shop floor" partnership to drive bottom-line efficiency.

Requirements

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills to interpret complex data and trends.
  • Advanced Accounting & Reconciliation: Strong ability to reconcile complex data sets across multiple systems. You possess a "zero-error" mindset and the technical rigor to ensure accurate P&L at month end.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost components and analysis.
  • Operational Partnering: Ability to translate complex financial data into simple communication for production supervisors and plant leadership.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to reviewing bills of materials (BOMs) and labor routings for accuracy.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying operational inefficiencies and proposing cost-saving initiatives (e.g., waste reduction or labor optimization).
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field.
  • 5–10 years in Manufacturing Finance or Cost Accounting, with a heavy emphasis on financial statement preparation and account reconciliation.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst in a manufacturing or food industry setting.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and Excel modeling, Power BI.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Cost Accounting & Variance Analysis: Oversee the standard costing system, including the development and maintenance of labor and overhead rates. Perform deep-dive analysis on weekly/monthly production variances (yield, usage, and efficiency) to identify root causes.
  • Reporting: Daily, Weekly and Monthly reporting on time and accurately.
  • Inventory Integrity & Control: Lead the monthly inventory reconciliation process for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. Coordinate physical cycle counts and audit results to minimize shrink and obsolescence.
  • Month-End Close Management: Manage the manufacturing close process, including accruals, journal entries, and the preparation of plant-level P&L statements in accordance with GAAP and on time to meet close schedule timelines.
  • Operational Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with the Plant Director to develop annual operating budgets and monthly rolling forecasts that reflect realistic production capacities and constraints.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance: Establish and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracy within the ERP system.
