About The Position

Collins Community Credit Union , a growing organization, is currently hiring a Senior Financial Technology Administrator. This position is onsite at our Blairs Ferry Rd location in Cedar Rapids. Applicants must have valid work authorization for permanent employment in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship. Qualified candidates should have 7-10+ years of experience in financial technology administration or banking systems. Must have strong technical skills including system configuration, query language, API integration and scripting (PowerOn, SQL, Python) preferred. Essential Functions: Demonstrate enthusiastic support of the Credit Unions corporate mission, core values, and long-term objectives. Perform all duties within applicable bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors policies, and established internal and external service standards.

  • Must be available to work during business hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Flexibility for occasional hours outside of the typical workday for upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain financial technology platforms including core banking systems (Jack Henry Symitar, Fiserv, or similar), digital banking channels, payment processing systems, and lending platforms in accordance with operational requirements and vendor best practices.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize system integrations and API connections between core banking platforms and third-party fintech solutions, ensuring reliable data flow, transaction integrity, and minimal service disruption.
  • Write, test, and maintain scripts and queries using tools such as PowerOn, SQL, Python, or other applicable languages to automate processes, extract data, generate reports, and support operational workflows across financial technology systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across financial systems, coordinating with vendors, internal teams, and end users to diagnose root causes, implement solutions, and document resolutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in financial technology projects including system upgrades, new product implementations, digital feature rollouts, and platform migrations, contributing technical expertise across planning, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support phases.
  • Support compliance and audit readiness by ensuring financial technology configurations, change records, and operational procedures align with regulatory requirements including NCUA, FFIEC, and BSA/AML guidelines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Information Technology, Information Security, Data & Innovation, and business unit staff to deliver integrated technology solutions that improve member experience, reduce operational friction, and accelerate the Credit Unions speed to market.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation including configuration guides, integration specifications, runbooks, and change logs to support operational continuity, knowledge sharing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve system performance, automate manual processes, and optimize financial technology workflows, bringing recommendations forward in support of continuous improvement and innovation goals.
