About Surf On Demand Surf On Demand is the private charter brokerage and private airline division of Surf Mobility, a publicly traded aviation and mobility company (NYSE: SRFM). We support a global client base with complex, time-sensitive private aviation needs across all aircraft categories. Our operations organization is central to our ability to scale, differentiate, and deliver a consistently premium experience in a demanding, high-volume environment. The Role The Senior Flight Operations & Charter Sourcing Lead is a highly experienced, senior-level operations role responsible for sourcing and executing complex private charter trips globally. This position serves as a core pillar of the operations department and plays a critical role in supporting high-value clients, complex itineraries, and non-standard missions. This role requires deep private charter operations experience, extensive aircraft knowledge, and strong global operator relationships. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable sourcing lift, managing execution, and delivering a high-touch client experience. This is not a junior coordination role — it is a leadership-caliber operator who can be trusted with the most demanding trips and clients. This is a full-time, salaried, in-office position based in either Addison, Texas or Hawthorne Airport, Los Angeles.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in private aviation charter operations and aircraft sourcing
  • Deep knowledge of aircraft types, performance capabilities, and charter economics
  • Strong, established relationships with a broad range of charter operators
  • Proven experience managing complex international charter trips
  • Exceptional operational judgment and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform under pressure with demanding clients and time constraints
  • Professional ability in more than one language language
  • Experience sourcing charter across Europe, the Middle East, and other international markets
  • Background working with high-net-worth individuals, corporate flight departments, or VIP clientele
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
  • Computer, office equipment, phone skills.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English effectively.
  • Ability to work within a 24/7 operation including holidays and weekends. Weekends will be required.
  • Ability to pass 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen as required by company and/or airline regulations.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.
  • Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position in a normal office environment.
  • Must be able to communicate through verbal, written and electronic means.
  • Must be able to access filing cabinets, drawers, and shelves of varying height.
  • Must be able to move up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.

Responsibilities

  • Source aircraft globally across turboprop, light, midsize, super-midsize, heavy jet, and ultra-long-range categories
  • Manage complex domestic and international charter missions, including multi-leg itineraries and last-minute requests
  • Lead execution of high-value, high-complexity trips from sourcing through completion
  • Leverage an established global network of charter operators to secure reliable lift and competitive pricing
  • Build, develop, and maintain new operator relationships across key regions
  • Evaluate operators for safety, reliability, and service quality
  • Serve as a trusted counterpart to operators for repeat and priority business
  • Support high-profile and demanding clients with a premium, high-touch service approach
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively manage operational risk
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex or sensitive trips
  • Serve as a senior operational resource for the sales and coordination teams
  • Support and mentor less-experienced operations staff
  • Help define best practices for sourcing, execution, and operator engagement
  • Partner with leadership to improve operational workflows and standards
