About The Position

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you own the "glass" and the frontend architecture for the entire Workweek ecosystem. You are the architect of the Creator Experience, responsible for building the systems—design libraries and creative workspaces—that make Workweek a world-class platform. You will serve as the primary technical bridge between Design and Product.

Requirements

  • 6+ Years Experience: Deep specialization in modern React and TypeScript, specifically building complex, state-heavy, or creative web applications.
  • Architecture Mindset: You are an expert in componentization and design systems. You know how to create a "source of truth" that allows the whole engineering team to move faster.
  • High-Fidelity Eye: You have strong instincts for UX and attention to detail. You care about typography, spacing, and the "feel" of a high-end professional product.
  • Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in a tight-knit environment, helping define APIs and data structures that make the frontend-backend handoff seamless.

Responsibilities

  • Architect the Frontend Platform: You own the "how" of our frontend. This includes defining our client-side state management patterns, data-fetching strategies, and the foundational architecture that supports a multi-subdomain ecosystem.
  • Design System Governance: Lead the evolution of our component library via Storybook. You’ll ensure it isn't just a collection of UI elements, but a robust platform that enables the team to ship high-fidelity features with extreme velocity.
  • Engineer the "Painless Editor": Lead the development of our content creation suite. You’ll tackle the hard problems of rich-text editing, collaborative states, and high-fidelity previews, ensuring a premium experience for creators.
  • Uphold UX Fidelity & Performance: You are the guardian of the "feel" of the product. You’ll architect strategies for bundle optimization and rendering paths to ensure the community feed and creator archives feel instantaneous.
  • Lead Through Curiosity: You act as a strategic partner to Design and Product, translating high-level vision into concrete component architectures. We want you to probe the edges of the experience—exploring how a design behaves in high-latency environments or asking how a UI component scales when a creator has 10 subscribers versus 10,000. You care deeply about why we are building and what happens in the "unseen" parts of the user journey.
  • AI-Native Engineering Leadership: As an AI-first company, you will set the bar for how we use Claude and Cursor. You’ll pioneer workflows that use AI to automate boilerplate, allowing you to focus on high-level system design.
