CLGT Solutions, LLC dba CLOVEHITCH is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business focused upon providing professional solutions in the areas of training and talent acquisition. We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer, product-minded and passionate about building intuitive, elegant, and data-rich digital experiences. In this role, you will lead the frontend development of a mission-critical, enterprise-grade Reporting Portal designed to support and streamline grant management for over 150,000 recipients. You’ll bring complex financial information to life through "Financial Command Centers" that allow users to navigate hierarchically from high-level programs down to granular award details. You have a startup pedigree—thriving in ambiguity, moving fast, and prioritizing the user experience without sacrificing technical excellence. You will partner closely with a Backend Engineer to migrate a high-fidelity prototype into a scalable, AWS-based production environment, ensuring an immutable link between financial data and physical evidence. You will be responsible for: Frontend Architecture & Development Architect & Build: Lead the development of a high-concurrency, responsive interface using React.js to handle complex "drill-down" navigation and real-time status tracking. Submission Engine: Develop a robust evidence-upload system supporting multi-format files (PDF, JPEG, etc.), implementing in-browser rendering and real-time validation logic. Data Visualization: Translate Figma mockups into production code that simplifies large datasets, pulling directly from a Data Translation Bridge (DTB) to ensure "truth-in-data." Security & Compliance: Implement enterprise-grade identity management, including MFA/2FA, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and ensuring all components align with Section 508 accessibility standards (WCAG). Cross-Team Collaboration Backend Partnership: Work in lockstep with backend and infrastructure engineers to integrate with API management layers, event streaming, and analytics data stores. Product Strategy: Participate in sprint planning and architectural decisions, presenting technical tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical team members. Mentorship: Lead by example by crafting maintainable code and mentoring engineering talent on your project team as the product scales. Quality, Testing & Continuous Improvement Performance: Optimize browser performance for high-volume list management, including advanced filtering, search, and pagination. Iteration: Use analytics and user feedback to refine interface patterns and micro-interactions that enhance clarity for grant recipients. CI/CD: Maintain high-quality production code within a GitLab Enterprise and Terraform-based pipeline. Additional Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of systems and websites such as Microsoft, SharePoint, Adobe, Google Chrome, SAM.gov, CPARS, FPDS-NG, GSA eBuy/GSA Advantage, SBA.gov. Proven ability to provide leadership, technical direction, and mentorship to junior staff. Strong time management, writing, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and standardize enterprise requirements. Expertise in refining source selection criteria and solving complex contracting issues. Experience in cost analysis, gap analysis, and healthcare-related acquisition support. Ability to prepare compliant procurement packages in line with federal and state laws. Preferred Experience: Startup Pedigree: Previous experience building and scaling products in an early-stage or high-growth startup context. Data Science Integration: Experience integrating machine learning workflows, automated analysis feedback loops, or complex data pipelines into applications. Advanced Tools: Familiarity with Terraform, HashiCorp Vault, or serverless querying (e.g., AWS Athena). Mission-Driven Work: Experience in civic-tech or large-scale consulting environments. Qualifications: Experience: 4-7 years of professional experience building modern web applications, ideally with experience taking a product from prototype to production "v1." Core Stack: Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React.js. Experience with Node.js/Express for frontend pipelines is highly preferred. Cloud & Infrastructure: Familiarity interfacing with AWS Commercial Cloud environments (S3, EKS, RDS) and modern authentication protocols (OAuth 2.1 / OIDC). Standards: Deep understanding of accessibility standards, responsive layouts, and browser performance optimization.
