Senior Software Engineer – Sales Support & Compensation (SS&C) The Role We are looking for an experienced back-end/middle-tier engineer with a strong data background, cloud experience, and the ability to work across a range of technologies. This person will be responsible for: Hands-on development & expertise across middle-tier (Java micro-services), back-end (Oracle/Postgres) and cloud (AWS) Helping to design and implement our platform modernization strategy Mentoring other engineers on the squad and wider SS&C team Platform support across the e2e SSC platform The Team The SS&C team builds and runs the Incentive Compensation Management Platform (ICMP) for around 20k Fidelity’s wealth and brokerage associates directly, ensuring that variable compensation is correctly calculated, paid, & reported. Our team is comprised of technology squads primarily based in North Carolina, New England. Our platform consists of multiple back-end internal capabilities integrated with SAP Sales Cloud for compensation & reporting. We are in the middle of a multi-year program to modernize our e2e platform, moving from an on-prem/batch monolith to a cloud/event-driven implementation.
