About The Position
The Senior Full Stack Java Developer</b> is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise -level web applications supporting the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). This role involves building front -end user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks and developing robust back -end services using Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot. The developer will manage the full application lifecycle, including architecture design, API integration, security implementation, performance tuning, testing, and deployment. The position requires strong expertise in RESTful services, secure authentication mechanisms, and scalable application design. This role operates in a hybrid work environment and supports high -visibility public sector initiatives.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in design and development of web -based applications using Java and J2EE technologies.
- 8 years of experience designing and developing front -end user interfaces using React or Angular.
- 8 years of experience in web services design and development, including API integration.
- 8 years of experience with Spring Boot or other open -source Java -based frameworks.
- 8 years of experience implementing RESTful services security using JWT, OAuth, and related technologies.
- 8 years of experience implementing client -facing applications with responsive design.
- 8 years of experience integrating web services into Angular or React -based SPAs.
- 8 years of experience applying best practices in application design, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Nice To Haves
- 5 years of experience with JBoss Enterprise Application Platform.
- 5 years of experience working in Agile development environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy web -based applications using Java and J2EE technologies.
- Build and maintain responsive front -end applications using React or Angular.
- Develop and integrate RESTful web services and APIs.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using JWT, OAuth, and related standards.
- Participate in high -level and detailed technical design of new application components.
- Create and maintain technical and design documentation.
- Perform performance tuning and configuration optimization of applications.
- Analyze and remediate software code vulnerabilities.
- Integrate web services into Angular or React -based single -page applications (SPAs).
- Apply best practices in application design, scalability, maintainability, and performance.
