About The Position

Start your morning closing out reconciliations from month-end, move into reviewing GAAP-compliant financial statements before lunch, and finish your day advising leaders with data-driven insights. You’ll be the steady hand behind accurate reporting, efficient close cycles, and well-supported audits and tax filings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a senior capacity.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP and relevant regulations.
• Proficiency with ERP platforms (e.g., Sage, NetSuite, JD Edwards, Oracle, SAP) and strong Excel skills.
• Exceptional analytical rigor, attention to detail, problem-solving capability, and organization.
• Clear communicator and collaborative teammate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Lead month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Handle indirect tax compliance, including property tax, sales/use tax, and related returns.
• Analyze financial data, challenge outliers, spot trends, and translate findings into business recommendations.
• Deliver timely and accurate reporting to management.
• Partner on budgets and forecasts; investigate variances and explain drivers.
• Support external audits, lender information requests, and tax filing needs with clear documentation and explanations.
• Streamline processes and embed accounting best practices to improve efficiency and control.
