You are a Senior GIS Analyst with six or more years of GIS experience and a professional GIS certification, ready to support our U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) Environmental Services Assistance Team (ESAT) contract.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Geology, Computer Science or a related science field
  • A professional GIS certification (Esri ArcGIS, GISP, USGIF GEOINT, or equivalent)
  • Legal U.S. citizenship, with ability to obtain and maintain state and federal security clearances
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Good written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment; flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed cartographic products with complex feature labeling utilizing Esri ArcGIS Pro.
  • Manage datasets in geodatabases.
  • Work with and mentor junior to mid-level GIS Analysts.
  • Perform routine and complex GIS analysis to support mapping projects.
  • Create and maintain ArcGIS Server web services.
  • Peer review all maps/data produced by the team ensuring compliance with technical directives and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in field sampling events throughout EPA Region 8 (Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, and Dakotas).
