About The Position

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Global Geopolitical Risk Specialist to join our team in Arlington, VA or Seattle, WA. Our team is open to a broad range of experience levels including Level 4 and Level 5 specialists to find the best fit for the position. The Senior Specialist for Global Geopolitical Risk serves as a trusted internal advisor responsible for identifying, assessing, integrating and coordinating mitigation of complex geopolitical risks that may materially impact on the company’s global operations, supply chain, strategic programs, investments, and reputation. This position will report directly into the Boeing Global - Globalization and Market Development Vice President. Operating at a consultant-equivalent level, this role functions as a highly autonomous individual contributor, coordinating across multiple business units and functions to provide executive-level analysis, forward-looking risk intelligence, and actionable recommendations across business units. The role draws on best practices from the aerospace, defense, and government risk intelligence communities and leverages advanced analytical and AI-enabled tools to enhance situational awareness, forecasting, and decision support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience working in Global Geopolitical Risk, Government Affairs or a Governmental Organization

  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in Global Geopolitical Risk, Government Affairs or a Governmental Organization, specifically focused on Global Geopolitics.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners
  • Experience in a global corporation, management consulting firm, global regulator, an Embassy, or Government Affairs office

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, assess, and synthesize global geopolitical developments including political instability, armed conflict, sanctions regimes, export controls, regulatory shifts, alliances, trade policy, and state/non-state actor activity
  • Evaluate second- and third-order impacts of geopolitical events on company operations, programs, supply chains, markets, partners, and customers
  • Produce clear, decision-focused risk assessments, scenario analyses, and outlooks tailored to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Coordinate input from a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Integrate geopolitical risk insights into enterprise risk management (ERM), strategic planning, program risk reviews, and investment decision processes
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to leadership, legal, compliance, security, supply chain, government relations, and business development teams; including across all Business Units and Functions
  • Advise on risk mitigation strategies, including diversification, contingency planning, policy engagement, supplier strategies, and operational adjustments
  • Develop and maintain geopolitical risk indicators, dashboards, and early-warning frameworks aligned to the company’s risk appetite and strategic priorities
  • Conduct structured scenario planning, stress testing, and tabletop exercises to evaluate exposure under plausible future geopolitical conditions
  • Track evolving geopolitical trends and provide proactive alerts when risk thresholds are approached or exceeded
  • Apply AI and advanced analytics tools (e.g., large language models, predictive analytics, geospatial analysis, data fusion platforms) to enhance risk detection, trend analysis, and forecasting accuracy
  • Integrate open-source intelligence (OSINT), structured data, and qualitative assessments using AI-assisted workflows while ensuring analytical rigor and bias mitigation
  • Partner with data, technology, and security teams to responsibly adopt and govern AI tools in line with company policy and regulatory expectations
  • Produce high-quality written products, including executive briefings, strategic memos, risk heat maps, and periodic geopolitical outlooks
  • Brief senior executives with clarity, confidence, and independence of judgment
  • Contribute to internal standards, methodologies, and best practices for geopolitical and strategic risk analysis

  • Summary pay range for Level 4: $136,850 - $185,150
  • Summary pay range for Level 5: $173,400 - $234,600
