About The Position

The GridOS Sr. Delivery Manager is a senior-level technical leader responsible for the end-to-end implementation of GridOS software solutions across utility and energy distribution environments. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong delivery leadership, serving as the primary driver of implementation quality, team standards, and customer outcomes. Prospects will function with significant autonomy guided by established policies requiring high levels of operational judgment. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with distribution power grid systems, a command of industry best practices, and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges with creative, independent problem-solving.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in software implementation, delivery management, or systems integration roles
  • Demonstrated technical depth with enterprise software platforms, particularly in the energy or utility sector
  • Working knowledge of distribution power grid systems, operations, and infrastructure (e.g., ADMS, SCADA, DMS, OMS, or related grid management platforms)
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles and the ability to contribute meaningfully to design discussions
  • Proven experience defining and implementing delivery standards and process frameworks
  • Track record of leading and developing junior technical staff in a delivery or professional services environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and drive decisions
  • Experience working directly with utility customers or grid operators
  • Candidates who apply for this position must be willing to work in a hybrid model, requiring them to be present in the office for 3 days a week at one of the GEV Hubs located in the areas listed in the job posting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with GE Vernova GridOS or comparable grid orchestration/ADMS platforms
  • Familiarity with DERMS, Distributed Energy Resources (DER), or grid modernization initiatives
  • Background in Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Knowledge of NERC, FERC, or IEC 61968/61970 standards
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • Graduate of one of GE’s leadership development programs, such as EEDP, OMLP, etc
  • Good understanding of programming and database skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot and problem solve.
  • AWS Practitioner Certification
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to write professional and technical reports and procedures.
  • Ability to make formal and informal presentations to technical and non-technical staff and customers.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on the needs of the department or business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation Ownership
  • Own the full lifecycle of GridOS software implementations, from initial scoping through deployment and post-go-live stabilization
  • Serve as the technical authority on GridOS platform capabilities, configurations, and integrations
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and customer requirements
  • Proactively identify implementation risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Maybe required to work extended hours, carry a cellphone, and be on call
  • Required to generate internal status reports, attend gate reviews, attend change control board meetings, and present to senior leadership.
  • Technical Leadership & Architecture
  • Contribute to software architecture design decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with grid operational needs
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to influence platform roadmap based on field implementation learnings
  • Apply deep understanding of distribution power grid operations to guide technically sound design and configuration decisions
  • Evaluate and recommend technology approaches that optimize performance and reliability within grid environments
  • Standards & Best Practices
  • Define, document, and enforce implementation standards, methodologies, and delivery frameworks for the team
  • Establish repeatable processes and playbooks that improve consistency and efficiency across engagements
  • Drive adoption of industry best practices in grid software deployment, data management, and system integration
  • Continuously assessing and refine standards based on evolving technology and customer needs
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making
  • Apply independent judgment to analyze complex, ambiguous implementation challenges where standard solutions may not apply
  • Propose and evaluate solutions outside of defined parameters when processes or technical constraints require creative resolution
  • Lead root cause analysis on technical issues and deliver actionable remediation plans
  • Balance competing priorities across multiple stakeholders with confidence and clarity
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior delivery staff, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback
  • Drive junior team members to complete tasks on time and to technical standards through hands-on guidance
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the delivery team
  • Delegate effectively while maintaining visibility into quality and progress across workstreams
  • Stay current on existing and developing GridOS applications and technology stacks.
  • Analytical Thinking & Reporting
  • Leverage analytical thinking to assess implementation data, system performance metrics, and project health indicators
  • Translate complex technical findings into clear insights and recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support pre-sales and scoping activities with technical depth and delivery expertise
