We’re searching for a Senior Hardware Validation Engineer. Our team is responsible for the end-to-end electrical validation of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA), as well as system level, from early-stage design and board bring-up to sustaining engineering and resolving field issues. This is a critical role on an incredibly important team, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of reliability, which is paramount to ensuring safety. The new hire will have access to an exceptional lab space, work with industry experts and will be pivotal in making our products robust and dependable for mass production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in PCBA electrical validation
  • Expertise in PCBA electrical validation, both module and system-level validation across power regulation, low-speed and high-speed interfaces, compute, memory and sensors.
  • Demonstrated experience with board bring-up, fault injection testing, system level validation
  • Proven experience in technical leadership.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with system validation across automotive hardware for power delivery and communications such as automotive ethernet and CAN.
  • Experience with ISO 16750-2 and/or ISO 26262 standards.
  • Proven experience in the product life cycle development process from concept to production.
  • Familiar with EE design tools for schematic capture and layout.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the hands-on technical lead for PCBA design validation as well as module and system level validation.
  • Drive sustaining engineering efforts, including root cause and corrective action (RCCA) for issues found in the field.
  • Develop hardware validation strategies and test plans, execute electrical system-level validation to find and fix design issues and ensure design meets requirements for overall product quality.
  • Collaborate with and influence key cross-functional partners, including Hardware Systems, Safety, Test organizations, and Electrical Engineering (EE).
  • Address and improve communication challenges within the team to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
