As a Senior HR Consultant, you will serve customers directly to meet their HR goals and support our HR Consulting strategy. You will develop proactive, educational initiatives and improve Justworks’ HR tools, content, and experiences, in concert with stakeholders across the Customer Success Organization, Revenue Operations, Legal, Marketing, Sales, and Product teams. You will serve as a team leader, lending your expertise and mentorship to new hires and less senior team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years experience at the HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or Employee Relations Manager level
  • Experience handing compliance across multiple US states
  • At least 1 of the following HR certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP
  • If not certified, certification must be obtained within the first six months of employment - Justworks will provide financial support

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in tech, consulting, SaaS, and/or PEO environments a plus
  • Global HR experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic HR guidance for assigned customers – including strategic assessments + action plans, handbook review, proactive HR compliance guidance, and program development – to help them achieve their HR and business goals
  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned customers, educating them on HR best practices and working through creative solutions to effectively answer their complex HR questions
  • Coach and mentor fellow HR Consultants, supporting them in their day-to-day work, and providing quality assurance feedback
  • Balance time spent on customer-facing interactions and on deliverables for customers
  • Create HR-related content, tools, and experiences, for external and internal uses
  • Work with other consultants on optimizing efficiencies across the entire team, including the integration of AI tools
  • Manage longer-term projects – such as our customer compliance newsletter and customer learning opportunities (such as webinars) – inclusive of scoping, providing feedback and inputs, and setting and meeting deadlines
  • Partner with Legal, Product, and Revenue teams on upcoming employment legislation – how it impacts Justworks customers and how we will best support them through change
  • Explain complicated compliance and HR concepts in simple, user-friendly terms
  • Display a high level of professionalism and compassion when working with each account on sensitive matters
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
