About The Position

Senior Human Resources Coordinator Position Summary: Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, core hours 8am-5pm 100% on-site (Madison, WI) Catalent, Inc. is a leading global Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO). Located in Madison, WI, this facility features advanced mammalian cell line engineering and biomanufacturing capabilities using single-use systems to support scalable production. This 263,000 sq. ft. Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facility offers integrated formulation and analytical services to address complex development challenges in Biologics. The Senior HR Coordinator plays a critical role within the Madison Biologics HR team, delivering digitally enabled, data‑driven HR support in a fast‑paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment. Serving as a strategic operational partner, this role manages core employee lifecycle processes—including payroll, benefits, and LOA administration—while also providing HR Business Partner (HRBP) support to a smaller functional team through workforce planning, performance guidance, and policy expertise. Leveraging advanced HR technologies, automation, and AI-enabled tools, the Senior HR Coordinator helps drive continuous improvement and digital optimization, ensuring seamless, accurate, and efficient HR operations across the site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. SHRM/PHR certifications preferred
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in fast‑paced, complex, or regulated industries such as GMP manufacturing, pharma, biotech, or technical environments
  • Skilled in HR operations, employee lifecycle management, compliance, and exposure to HRBP support
  • Proficient with HRIS (Workday, ADP, BambooHR), timekeeping systems (Workforce Dimensions), and AI‑enabled HR tools
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting/analytics abilities, including generating HR dashboards and metrics
  • Solid knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, benefits, payroll, and leave administration
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills with a process‑improvement mindset
  • Individual must be able to see, hear, read, and write clear English. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen, reaching with hands and arms, talking, writing, listening. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, carrying, grasping. Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Must comply with EHS responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as site super‑user for HRIS/timekeeping systems (Workday, Workforce Dimensions) and manage end‑to‑end employee lifecycle transactions with full data accuracy and audit compliance
  • Conduct regular HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping audits while partnering with HRIS/Finance to enhance system workflows, automation, and reporting capabilities.
  • Act as primary liaison for payroll operations, supporting processing, reconciliation, audit requests, and regulatory compliance
  • Administer employee leaves of absence (FMLA, STD, LTD, parental, military, etc.), ensuring accurate documentation, timely case management, and partnership with third‑party vendors
  • Support benefits administration, open enrollment coordination, and employee inquiries with a high level of confidentiality and service
  • Facilitate onboarding, digital setup, and New Hire Orientation; maintain personnel records; manage terminations and exit interviews
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc HR reports, dashboards, and analytics using Excel, HR tools, and AI-enabled insights to identify workforce trends
  • Lead process-improvement efforts, identifying efficiencies, automation opportunities, and standardizing HR workflows across functions
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with EHS&S, HR Business Partners, site leaders, and training teams to support workforce planning, development, and employee engagement
  • Provide HRBP‑level support to an assigned business unit, including policy guidance, performance management support, workforce metrics analysis, and participation in change initiatives, employee relations, and talent planning
  • Other duties as assigned
