Join our team in Renton at Renewal by Andersen of Washington - we're hiring a Senior HR Generalist. The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing and executing various human resources functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture. This role supports employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits administration, performance management, and HR policy implementation. The Senior HR Generalist partners with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage FMLA, ADA, and other leave claims.
  • Partner with other HR Generalists.
  • Conduct supervisor training on HR policies and best practices.
  • Act as the HRIS subject matter expert, including module management, providing guidance, and training on system functionalities.
  • Lead special projects including training and development, creating and conducting presentations, and other projects that drive the business.
  • Maintain department metrics.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related matters.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and conduct investigations when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Help administer employee benefits, compensation, and payroll processes in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Assist in organizational development initiatives and culture-building programs.
  • Conduct training sessions on HR policies, diversity, and leadership development.
  • Lead and support change management initiatives as needed.
  • Partner with leadership to drive employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Maintain and update HR systems and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Performs other related duties and projects assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist role.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
