About The Position

The Sr Hybrid Infra Engineer analyzes technologies that support cloud and on-prem (CoLo/site) services, helping define our roadmap for hosting technologies that best enable customer value

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 10 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 13 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 15 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 7 years managing or leading Infrastructure services, evaluating hosting technologies, extensive technical depth in on-prem architecture, infrastructure and product selection and extensive technical depth in Cloud (AWS, Azure) architecture and capabilities
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. or UK is required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate future hosting technologies that are scalable, highly available and secure
  • Determine best future technologies without boundaries that compliment and evolve our existing cloud and on-prem hosting capabilities for our customers
  • Understand how future hosting strategies can unlock AI opportunities for our customers
  • Collaborate with a global team of Service Owners, Architects, and Engineers to fully define opportunities across cloud and on-prem services
  • Represent GE Aerospace with technical partners and suppliers, improving our awareness of our future capabilities and opportunities for hosting
  • Stay connected with our customers to understand needs and demands
  • Partner with Aerospace DT teams to create, own and optimize decision frameworks that determine workload placement by performance, cost and transformation complexity etc.
  • Collaborate with service owners for cloud, on-prem and CXO communities that evaluate technical roadmaps, defining our vision and future capabilities
  • Extract and present relevant information from the industry to ensure our DT teams and stakeholders are informed about future Hosting opportunities created in the industry
