About The Position

CGI has an immediate need for a Senior Informatica Developer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years! This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable. We are seeking an experienced Senior Informatica Developer to join our team in Reston, VA (hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote). This role is responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise data warehouse applications, with Informatica PowerCenter as the primary ETL platform. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in AWS cloud services, Python development, and containerized deployments using Docker. You will play a key role in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and quality, and supporting production environments. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams—including finance stakeholders—to translate business needs into reliable, high-performing data solutions. The role also includes participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation (one week per month) to support production systems.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in Informatica PowerCenter and ETL development
  • Experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC)
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EMR, ECS, Glue, Redshift, S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, CloudWatch)
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
  • Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts and large-scale data pipelines
  • Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
  • Strong SQL skills (Redshift, Postgres, Oracle)
  • Experience testing ETL workflows (unit, integration, regression, and data reconciliation)
  • Ability to design and execute data validation and performance test cases
  • Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Autosys (Redwood is a plus)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, UCD)
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments, including sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call production support rotation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PowerCenter to IDMC migration
  • Familiarity with Alteryx
  • Exposure to Terraform
  • Experience with GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot
