About The Position

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer designs, engineers, and supports complex physical and cloud‑hosted data center environments, including networking, compute, storage, platforms, middleware, databases, and telephony. This role independently evaluates current and future requirements to deliver scalable, reliable, and cost‑effective infrastructure solutions, develops and maintains technical standards and documentation, leads proof‑of‑technology efforts, and collaborates closely with technical teams, business partners, and leadership to plan, assess, and resolve data center and cloud infrastructure design challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
  • 5+ years of experience in RHEL/Linux
  • In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in RHEL/Linux

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Ansible or other automation
  • Experience with Red Hat Satellite
  • Experience with AWS and/or IBM AIX
  • Understanding of Security hardening (CIS benchmarks, STIGs)
  • Familiarity with network, compute, telephony, platform, middleware and database solutions

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex infrastructure solutions across network, compute, telephony, platform, middleware, and database technologies, ensuring technology currency and capacity alignment with SLAs.
  • Establish and maintain hardware and software performance standards while serving as the SME for emerging technologies and strategic vendor solutions.
  • Lead infrastructure design for major projects, collaborating with IT stakeholders, service owners, and vendors to ensure solutions align with architectural intent.
  • Ensure operational readiness through performance tuning, systems support, incident resolution, and planning and execution of software installations and upgrades.
  • Maintain standardized engineering procedures and contribute to broader architectural roadmaps, strategies, and standards.
  • Present new technologies to leadership and mentor junior team members to support capability growth and consistency across the team.
