About The Position

Create and maintain project documentation and plans, to include project timelines, resource allocations, and budgets Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential project challenges Establish project governance and communication protocols Lead and manage geographically dispersed project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and performance feedback Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, ensuring clear communication and action items Monitor project progress and performance against plan, identifying and addressing deviations Track project budget and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines Manage project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans Utilize project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to effectively manage projects Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders on a regular basis Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization Act as a liaison between the IT department and other business units Ensure project deliverables are completed and meet quality standards Conduct project closure activities, including documentation, knowledge transfer, and stakeholder sign-off Evaluate project performance and identify lessons learned for future projects Prepare and present project reports to management. Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in project management Contribute to the development and improvement of project management methodologies and processes Demonstrate strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and direction Successfully communicate with stakeholders at all levels Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills Identify and resolve project issues Manage multiple projects simultaneously Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other relevant discipline preferred
  • Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM) required
  • 6+ years of general professional experience required
  • 5+ years of direct experience in IT Project Management required
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Candidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret Clearance
  • Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
  • Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
  • Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
