About The Position

Job Objective: The Senior Logistics Coordinator provides operational leadership and direction to meet customer goals and expectations in support of the companies’ policies and objectives. This position also monitors operational progress, and customer relations.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree strongly preferred (ideally in Logistics) or significant industry experience.
  • Truckload Dry Van and Liquid Bulk transportation are all highly preferred.
  • Prior supervision experience preferred.
  • Meets internal job posting policy requirements.
  • Detail oriented, strong leadership and drive, organizational skills and the ability to handle a changing work environment.
  • Ability to: establish clear direction; distribute workload appropriately; maintain two-way dialogue with others on work and results; clearly communicate.
  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Power Point, Word and Excel. i.e. vlookups and pivot tables

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support operational transportation requirements for assigned clients as required. 25%-50% of time, coordinate contracted transportation needs for assigned clients.
  • Review and select appropriate carrier routing options for all assigned loads.
  • Tender loads to assigned carriers with the maximum lead-time possible.
  • Monitor daily pickup and delivery statuses and ensure carrier update compliance.
  • Daily communication with customer (phone/email) in support of client transportation needs.
  • Responsible for internal and external issue resolution that fall within the scope of CLX’s contract with the client.
  • Claims and issue management.
  • Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) investigations in adherence with CLX’s NCR SOP for all known service performance issues impacting assigned orders.
  • Initiate claim investigations as appropriate in adherence with CLX’s Claim SOP.
  • Provide support and direction of the daily activities ensuring that operational activity is performed in the most efficient manner.
  • Ensure accounts are adequately covered during periods of vacation, illness or other out-of-office issues, Ensure that adequate plans are in place for disaster recovery or other extreme work impacts (system down, weather issues, etc.)
  • In conjunction with the Director of Operations, identify any areas of work load inefficiencies and opportunities for redistribution.
  • Ensure processes are accurate, updated, documented and followed, including regular review to identify and update as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to refine, develop and document standardized work processes as required.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication with customers.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of Monthly Operations Reviews and QBRs.
  • Identify areas of continuous improvement that bring benefit in customer value, efficiency savings or improved service and support the execution of those initiatives.
  • Ensure correct routing and pricing are loaded into the TMS outside of major bid events.
  • Act as primary point of contact for daily operational issues with the customer.
  • On call support for multiple clients after hours/weekends as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
