SAIC is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Senior Logistician to join our team, providing critical support for NSWC Crane testing and evaluation activities with a primary focus on ordnance devices and strategic missile systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in lot acceptance testing, the design and execution of performance verification tests, and providing end-to-end support for specialized test equipment. As a trusted Subject Matter Expert (SME), the successful candidate will lead efforts to ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational excellence across testing operations while collaborating with stakeholders to achieve program success Key Responsibilities: Lot Acceptance Testing Leadership: Serve as the technical authority for lot acceptance testing of inferred countermeasures and ordnance devices, leveraging over a decade of experience in this specialized domain. Ensure compliance with program requirements and drive program success through accurate and repeatable test execution. Design and Execution of Testing: Design and execute performance verification tests for strategic missile systems and ordnance devices, including research and development on pyrotechnic decoy flares. Work closely with stakeholders to meet mission-critical testing requirements while maintaining compliance with technical and safety standards. Custom Test Equipment Development and Maintenance: Design, assemble, repair, operate, calibrate, and verify the performance of custom test equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, near-infrared detectors, candlepower detectors, high-speed video cameras, and other specialized equipment. Sustain and improve test equipment used for lot acceptance testing. Technical Expertise in Testing Systems and Data Integration: Provide subject matter expertise in a wide range of technical areas, including: Data acquisition and reduction. Infrared spectroscopy and detection devices. Programming and software for data analysis. Air compressors and high-velocity airflow systems. Interoperability with safety systems. System Maintenance and Failure Analysis: Conduct maintenance, failure analysis, and repair of all equipment and facilities associated with the testing of ordnance devices. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test system reliability and accuracy. Personnel Leadership and Scheduling: Plan, schedule, and direct the efforts of personnel to accomplish tasking for the lot acceptance group in alignment with organizational policies and processes. Identify and request necessary resources to support the team's activities. Mentor and train lower-level technicians, oversee their work daily, and foster a culture of operational excellence. Vendor and Customer Engagement: Collaborate with vendors (both domestic and international) and customers to determine requirements, provide work estimates, and establish funding and schedules. Participate in discussions with Program Office, sponsors, and management to provide updates on cost, schedule, and performance. Mobile Platform Sensor Integration: Apply knowledge in sensor integration onto mobile platforms, supporting relevant testing to verify functionality, interoperability, and performance. Program and Vendor Support: Work with cross-functional teams and contractors to improve overall program performance by addressing technical challenges in testing environments, defining requirements, and assessing measurement system needs.
