About The Position

The Senior Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in supporting JLL's facility operations by ensuring optimal building performance and tenant satisfaction through expert maintenance and repair services. This position combines independent technical expertise with collaborative engineering support to maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties. As a key contributor to our facility management team, you'll help JLL deliver exceptional service standards while maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant building operations that directly impact our clients' business success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 5-8 years of applicable experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work
  • Demonstrated competency with inspection, maintenance and repair activities across multiple building systems
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for effective tenant and team interactions
  • Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb up to 30 ft ladders safely
  • Capability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments with frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting
  • Ability to complete required safety trainings and consistently comply with safety procedures
  • US citizenship is required for this position due to government contract requirements.
  • Clearance Requirements: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

Nice To Haves

  • 3rd Party Certification in building trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
  • Formal coursework or training in building trades or facilities management
  • EPA Universal refrigerant license for HVAC system maintenance
  • Experience with CMMS systems (Corrigo preferred) for work order management
  • Knowledge of State, County, or City building ordinances, codes, and laws
  • Previous experience in commercial real estate or property management environments

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, and equipment
  • Conduct comprehensive facility inspections and report on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations
  • Execute general maintenance and repair work requiring practical skills in painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work
  • Replace lighting, ballasts, clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts to ensure optimal system performance
  • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment and materials as requested to support tenant needs
  • Update work order status in real-time using CMMS systems like Corrigo for accurate tracking and reporting
  • Complete hazard assessments and maintain strict compliance with safety procedures and local building codes
