About The Position

The Senior Manager, Accessibility Training & Enablement leads the design, development, and implementation of accessibility education, training, and enablement programs across the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Reporting to the Head of Accessibility, this role ensures that LA28 staff, volunteers, delivery partners, and key stakeholders have the knowledge, tools, and guidance needed to support accessible and inclusive Games experiences. The Senior Manager oversees organization-wide accessibility training initiatives, resource development, and awareness campaigns that promote disability inclusion, universal design principles, and equitable service delivery. Through these efforts, the role helps ensure that Functional Areas responsible for Games delivery are equipped to meet baseline legal accessibility requirements and Games-specific accessibility standards. This position plays a critical role in embedding accessibility into LA28’s culture, workforce capability, and operational readiness planning. By working closely with Functional Areas, delivery partners, and subject matter experts, the Senior Manager helps build organizational capability and shared accountability for delivering accessible Games environments for athletes, spectators, workforce, media, and all Games stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Federal, state, and local accessibility regulations including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and California Building Code (CBC 2022)
  • International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Accessibility Guide and other global accessibility standards and frameworks
  • Adult learning principles, instructional design, and training program development
  • Inclusive communication and disability awareness best practices
  • Organizational change management and training evaluation methodologies
  • Olympic and Paralympic Movements, including their accessibility values and stakeholder structures
  • Skill in Designing and delivering engaging, high-impact training programs for diverse audiences LA28 - LIMITED LA28 - LIMITED • Translating complex accessibility concepts, legal frameworks, and operational practices into clear and actionable learning materials
  • Managing complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, functional areas, and competing priorities
  • Developing accessible learning content including presentations, workshops, digital learning modules, and toolkit
  • Facilitating workshops and leading discussions with cross-functional teams to build accessibility awareness and capability
  • Partnering across organizational functions to embed accessibility into operational workflows and planning processes
  • Ability To Translate accessibility principles, civil rights frameworks, and inclusive design concepts into practical guidance for teams delivering Games operations
  • Build strong relationships across Functional Areas to promote shared accountability for accessibility outcomes
  • Measure and communicate the effectiveness of accessibility training, awareness initiatives, and enablement programs
  • Lead and mentor a small team while coordinating external training partners, subject matter experts, and community stakeholders
  • Promote a culture of disability inclusion and accessibility awareness across a large and diverse organization
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Education, Organizational Development, Communications, Disability Studies, Public Policy, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in training development, accessibility education, inclusion programming, or organizational enablement
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering accessibility, disability inclusion, or DEIB-related training programs
  • Working knowledge of accessibility civil rights frameworks such as ADA and inclusive design principles • Experience building training strategies or awareness programs across large organizations or multi-stakeholder environment

Nice To Haves

  • Training or certification in accessibility, disability inclusion, universal design, or DEIB education
  • Experience using learning management systems (LMS), digital training platforms, or knowledge management tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint and Excel for training development and reporting
  • Experience using data analytics or reporting tools to measure training effectiveness
  • Familiarity with project management tools and collaboration platforms

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of the accessibility training strategy for staff, volunteers, and partners
  • Work with subject matter experts to implement scalable learning programs tailored to Functional Areas (FAs) and Games-time roles
  • Ensure training content aligns with LA28’s Accessibility Strategy, ADA and IPC standards, and industry best practices
  • Measure effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, adoption metrics, and operational readiness outcomes
  • Lead creation and socialization of accessibility toolkits, guidance documents, and templates to support planning and delivery
  • Collaborate with other ACS streams and cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility knowledge into systems and processes
  • Maintain an up-to-date repository of accessibility resources and best practices
  • Measure effectiveness and success of accessibility toolkits, guidance documents, and templates through participant feedback, adoption metrics, and operational readiness outcomes
  • Plan and lead organization-wide accessibility awareness campaigns and workshops, both internally and externally
  • Partner with Workforce, HR, and Communications to integrate accessibility learning into onboarding and professional development
  • Support the development of champions across FAs who advocate for accessibility within their functions
  • Field accessibility related inquiries from within the organization to the correct ACS workstream
  • Lead the collection and organization of accessibility experience and inclusion data
  • Support preparation of reports and presentations summarizing accessibility outcomes and insights
  • Maintain organized records of metrics, lessons learned, and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to improve accessibility education and communication
  • Contribute insights to legacy and post-Games knowledge transfer
  • Monitor the public facing accessibility inquiry form, answering accessibility related questions, maintaining the canned response repository, and training the AI Agent to answer more accessibility questions independently
