About The Position

The Senior Manager of Applied AI Platforms leads the operational management and strategic evolution of the firm’s enterprise-wide AI and automation platforms. This leader is responsible for ensuring reliability, scalability, governance, support, and value realization across all firmwide AI and automation technologies. The position also drives targeted, well-governed innovation to maximize ROI and ensure platforms are enabling the firm’s broader strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field required; preferred certifications include Azure, cloud, security, or IT service management (e.g., Azure, ITIL).
  • 10–12+ years of experience in technology platforms, AI, data, automation, or cloud operations, with proven ownership of enterprise platforms at scale and experience leading offshore/global delivery teams; professional services or regulated-industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of AI and automation platform operations, cloud‑native services (especially Azure), and security, governance, and risk considerations for enterprise AI.
  • Strong skills in platform operations leadership, service management, incident/problem management, vendor and license management, metrics/reporting, and process design/continuous improvement.
  • Ability to balance control, compliance, and speed; establish scalable guardrails (e.g., adaptive governance, automated compliance checks, policy-as-code); and collaborate effectively with enterprise architecture, information security, data governance, risk & compliance, and procurement.
  • Executive-level communication, stakeholder management, and professional presence.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end operations for enterprise AI and automation platforms (e.g., ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI/Azure AI Foundry, Claude, Alteryx, Perplexity, Windsurf, and emerging tools).
  • Ensure platforms are stable, scalable, secure, and fully compliant with firm policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage platform license strategy and utilization, including forecasting, optimization, renewals, and vendor engagement.
  • Lead platform feature enablement with governance, security, architecture, and risk partners; evaluate new capabilities and enable them safely.
  • Establish and continuously improve operating processes, including: Access management Onboarding/offboarding Incident and issue management Change/release management Usage monitoring and reporting Cost transparency
  • Build and oversee a tiered support model (Tier 1 via centralized IT; Tier 2 via the Applied AI Platform team) with clear SLAs, escalation paths, ownership boundaries, metrics, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Lead global platform operations, defining operating models, workflows, handoffs, and escalation standards across onshore and offshore teams.
  • Ensure the Bangalore team is structured and staffed to deliver Tier 2 support and broader platform management responsibilities.
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact enablement opportunities that maximize platform ROI.
  • Partner with AI engineers, developers, and practitioners to reduce friction, improve the developer/practitioner experience, and accelerate experimentation and adoption.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize, consolidate, or retire platforms to reduce complexity, risk, and cost.
  • Stay current on AI platform capabilities and industry trends, translating insights into practical, governed innovation for the firm.
