Position Overview The Senior Manager of Global Contracts manages other Contract Managers who have individual contributors, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management and meaningful career development conversations. This role is responsible for the overall offer development, contract negotiation, and/or contract execution process and will designs contract negotiation and drafting processes and provides complete compliance oversight from preparation through execution. This position serves as a liaison for external partners and contracted vendors and establishes strategic relationships in order to drive contracting opportunities for the organization.

Requirements

  • A Bachelors degree and a minimum of 15 years of relevant professional work experience with progressive leadership experience in Operations.
  • 10 years of experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop business strategies, and drive organizational goals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels
  • Deep understanding of industry including familiarity with regulatory and SOX requirements
  • Requires experience with ERP systems and management of CRMs, CPQs and CLMs

Responsibilities

  • Manages other Managers, Supervisors, and/or individual contributors in a matrix environment, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management and meaningful career development conversations.
  • Establishes processes for implementing policies and procedures that facilitate the administration, negotiation, and management of contracts and service agreements and ensure continuous compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identifies best practices and process improvements, and supports strategic initiatives in an effort to improve turnaround time processes and workflows.
  • Facilitates risk assessments and conducts business impact analyses for potential and/or actual organizational, compliance, and/or regulatory risks with respect to external partner contracts and contracting activities.
  • Responsible for managing operational aspects of the team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.
  • Maintains comprehensive data standards, tools and governance processes for teams
  • Communicates strategically to highlight initiatives, activities, and achievements that create scalability and digital transformation
  • Responsible for system enhancements to improve quality of Contracting systems
  • Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision-making.

  • Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

  • Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
