The team applies rigorous model assessment, validation, and deployment practices to ensure accuracy and scalability. Collaborating across business domains, they translate complex data into actionable insights using effective visualization and communication methods. This group drives innovation by integrating artificial intelligence and statistical methods to solve operational challenges, supporting Walmart’s commitment to efficient, data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement in customer delivery experiences.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and advanced statistical methods to develop and validate complex models.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL for data analysis, model development, and deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Expertise in project management and mentoring teams to deliver scalable, robust data science solutions.
  • Solid understanding of business metrics across multiple domains to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 5 years' experience in an analytics related field.
  • Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field.
  • 7 years' experience in an analytics or related field.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data science projects aligned with strategic goals.
  • Guide and mentor team members on modeling, feature engineering, and data analysis best practices.
  • Oversee deployment and monitoring of models in production environments, ensuring performance and scalability.
  • Manage data sourcing, quality assessment, and integration to support analytical initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement by applying emerging AI and machine learning advancements.
