About The Position

The Senior Manager, Ecommerce Technology provides senior-level technical leadership and stewardship for the ecommerce technology ecosystem. This role is responsible for shaping technical direction, enforcing engineering standards, and ensuring the long-term scalability, reliability, and integrity of customer-facing digital commerce platforms. The role focuses on technical decision-making, system health, and organizational alignment , enabling teams to build sustainable solutions rather than optimizing for short-term delivery.

Requirements

• Proven ability to lead and influence engineering teams through strong technical leadership, clear standards, and effective cross-functional collaboration
• Demonstrated technical judgment in evaluating architectural trade-offs related to scalability, performance, reliability, security, and long-term maintainability
• Experience applying architectural principles in complex ecommerce environments, designing systems for reuse, clean boundaries, and multi-market scale
• Strong ability to provide technical oversight of production platforms, with a focus on platform health, operational resilience, and risk reduction
• Analytical problem-solver capable of independently assessing complex technical challenges and recommending pragmatic, sustainable solutions
• Business-minded technical leader who can translate business objectives into clear technical direction and communicate decisions and trade-offs effectively
• Broad understanding of modern application ecosystems, including cloud platforms, integrations, APIs, and supporting services
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on long-term platform sustainability
• Bachelor’s degree required or 10+ years of equivalent experience or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
