Overview We are seeking a strategic, creative and highly collaborative Senior Manager of Employee Communications to lead and evolve our global employee communications team. This role is responsible for delivering clear, compelling and inspiring communications that engage and connect a diverse employee population worldwide. This position is also accountable for direct communications support and deliverables for the Chief Human Resources Officer. The ideal candidate is both a big-picture thinker and an execution expert—someone who can translate enterprise priorities into meaningful messages and optimize communication channels to reach all employees, wherever and however they work.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in employee communications, internal communications, or corporate communications in a global organization.
  • Proven experience communicating with diverse employee audiences, including frontline or manufacturing populations.
  • Deep expertise in channel strategy and optimization, with a strong understanding of how different audiences consume information.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability.
  • Experience using data, analytics and employee feedback to drive communication decisions.
  • Executive presence and the ability to confidently support C-suite leaders
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, complex, matrixed and global environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting large-scale change or transformation initiatives, especially on a new corporate strategy.
  • Familiarity with digital workplace tools and emerging communication technologies.
  • Experience working across multiple regions and cultures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field (advanced degree a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Employee Communications Strategy Develop and execute a comprehensive employee communications strategy aligned with business priorities and in promotion of the enterprise strategy. Ensure communications resonate with a diverse workforce across regions, roles, languages and work environments (manufacturing, frontline, office). Build communication plans that drive understanding, engagement and adoption.
  • Stakeholder Partnership Oversees the direct communications support for the Chief Human Resources Officer, ensuring clear, timely and strategic messaging that advances HR priorities and strengthens enterprise alignment. Serves as a trusted advisor with leaders to shape messages, cascade information effectively and enable two-way communication. Navigates matrixed environments and leads with influence to collaborate with key stakeholders to drive decisions and amplify stories.
  • Team Leadership Foster a high-performing, collaborative and innovative team culture. Explore and evaluate emerging technologies—including AI-powered tools—to enhance communication effectiveness; and leads efforts to upskill and empower communicators in adopting new digital and AI-driven capabilities. Lead, mentor and develop internal communications team members.
  • Content & Messaging Excellence Creates and maintains a global “message house”, using enterprise messaging frameworks to deliver consistent, compelling storytelling across written, digital and visual channels. Leads development of high-quality, audience-centric content that is clear, consistent and tailored to different employee segments. Develops employee communications for major change initiatives, including transformation and organizational change.
  • Channel Optimization & Governance Own, evolve and continuously optimize the full ecosystem of employee communication channels, including emerging mediums (e.g., email, web, intranet, digital, mobile platforms, town halls, leader toolkits). Evaluate channel effectiveness, reach and engagement; use data and insights to refine channel mix and messaging approaches. Establish clear channel governance, guidelines and best practices for all stakeholders and communicators across the organization.
  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement Define success metrics and KPIs for employee communications. Use analytics, feedback and listening mechanisms to continuously improve effectiveness and impact.
