About The Position

This is a professional sales position responsible for growing new business within the Latin ethnic segment, with the expectation of achieving assigned business goals while enhancing the customer experience. This will be accomplished through maintaining an industry and category specific certification status knowledge base and direct selling of the ethnic segment to customers. Specialists will prioritize time, targets, and team selling efforts based on market insights and data analytics.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 3+ years of sales experience within a retail, broker, wholesale, or distribution environment (deep technical expertise of Italian categories)
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) required for Latin Specialist
  • Ability to understand and utilize company sales reports.
  • Ability to travel in and outside of the United States as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • 4 year Bachelor’s degree
  • Sysco Sales, Sales Strategy, Marketing, Learning & Development or similar
  • Salesforce.com CRM
  • Proven track-record of progressive career development

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute targeted Latin/Hispanic segment strategies
  • Identify customer and prospect needs to deliver the right product mix
  • Use data analytics to prioritize the highest‑value opportunities
  • Actively seek, qualify, and convert top prospects to Sysco
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, specialists, vendors, and brokers
  • Stay informed on market conditions, competitors, innovations, and share intelligence with the sales team.
  • Leverage sampling and solution‑based selling to close deals
  • Document and track all sales activities through CRM tools (Salesforce - Sales Call Plans)
