Sun Com Mobile Senior Manager, Finance Operations
About The Position
Sun Com Mobile is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance Operations to help strengthen financial reporting, month-end close processes, operational analytics, and finance process automation. This role partners closely with the CFO and leadership team to enhance reporting infrastructure, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and identify opportunities to modernize finance operations through improved data, automation, and emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial analysis and reporting experience combined with an interest in leveraging analytics, dashboards, and automation tools to improve operational visibility and decision-making across a growing multi-location retail organization.
Requirements
- 5--8+ years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or financial analytics.
- Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes.
- Background in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Strong reconciliation review and financial analysis capabilities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred.
- Interest in automation, analytics, and AI applications in finance.
- Experience working with large datasets, multi-location businesses, or operational environments is a plus.
- Experience in retail, telecommunications, distribution, or similar operational industries preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead components of the monthly financial close process and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
- Develop financial and operational reporting packages for leadership.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and business insights.
- Build dashboards and reporting tools that improve visibility into business performance.
- Identify opportunities to automate financial reporting and workflows.
- Partner with Accounting, Operations, and IT teams to improve data quality and reporting processes.
