About The Position

Join us as Senior Manager, Firmware/Software Development: You will lead a team in developing world-class variable frequency drive solutions that push the boundaries of innovation and expand human possibilities. You will have opportunities to influence secure product architecture and embedded cybersecurity for global OT systems. You will report into the Campus Manager of Rockwell Automation's global headquarters for variable frequency drive development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required- we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, not now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Ability to travel, including internationally, up to 10% of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Typically requires 8+ years of relevant leadership experience leading teams within a matrixed organization.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Prior experience in either software or firmware development.
  • Knowledge in Industrial Automation

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams in three different areas: Firmware, Software, and DevSecOps.
  • Firmware Development Deliver motor control solutions using Matlab/Simulink.
  • Oversee system firmware development in C/C++.
  • Implement security measures aligned with IEC 62443.
  • Ensure compliance to functional safety standard IEC 61508.
  • Promote process discipline across development cycles.
  • Software Engineering Lead development of desktop applications using C#.
  • Guide web application design using Angular and .NET.
  • Champion edge and cloud integration for scalable solutions.
  • Oversee mobile app development with Xamarin and MAUI.
  • Maintain security standards per IEC 62443.
  • Foster excellent UX design practices using tools like Figma.
  • DevSecOps Leadership Manage CI/CD pipelines for GitHub and Azure.
  • Enforce secure development practices following IEC 62443.
  • Ensure robust infrastructure, regulatory compliance, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Manage annual budgets to support organizational goals.
  • Foster accountability within the team and providing guidance when needed.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and cultivate a culture that challenges the status quo.
