About The Position

We’re looking for a strategic, forward thinking Senior Manager for our Global Payment Network (GPN) 1LOD Controls testing Team. In this role, you will use your leadership, communication, analytical and problem solving skills to build a scalable first line controls governance framework and center of excellence. This talented team will act as a critical bridge between risk and business partners, providing expert guidance on controls best practices, new control builds, and modernizing and improving existing controls. You will partner with senior leaders across the enterprise to ensure alignment with internal policies. You’ll need a well developed risk and control mindset, strong judgment, and the ability to influence priorities across the Lines of Defense teams to maintain a strong governance program while managing capacity. An ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of strong leadership qualities including strategic planning, outstanding communication with natural problem solving and analytical skills as well as collaboration abilities. This position will require strong judgment and relationship management to understand the needs and requirements of partners across the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of Risk Management Experience
  • At least 7 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients

  • Masters Degree
  • At least 5 years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk
  • At least 5 years of Financial Services risk management experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in Data Analysis
  • People management experience
  • Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
  • Lean, Agile, Six Sigma or Business Process Management
  • PMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM)

Responsibilities

  • Develop of a scalable first line controls governance framework to support the GPN business.
  • Help to ensure alignment of first line controls with relevant regulations, risks, internal policies, and industry best practices.
  • Partner with second and third lines of defense to ensure a cohesive and effective overall control environment.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to the GPN business on the implementation and adherence to the controls governance framework and partner to embed controls governance principles within their day-to-day operations.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of first line controls through regular reviews and analysis of performance data.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the first, second, and third lines of defense.
  • Act as a point of contact for controls related inquiries to provide expert advice and guidance on new control builds as well as modernization of existing controls.
  • Drive initiatives to automate and improve control processes where appropriate.
  • Develop governance materials, reporting and presentations related to first line controls.
