About The Position

The Senior Manager, HR Communications plays a critical leadership role in shaping and executing strategic communications that advance Royal Caribbean Group’s people strategy and engage a diverse, global shoreside workforce. This role serves as the lead communications partner for Human Resources, developing enterprise-level positioning, messaging, and integrated campaigns that drive awareness, understanding, and adoption of key HR priorities, programs, and policies.    Operating at both strategic and executional levels, this role partners closely with Corporate Communications leadership, HR Centers of Excellence, and cross-functional stakeholders to align communications with the company’s broader corporate narrative, business priorities, and employee experience strategy. The Senior Manager provides expert counsel, anticipates communication needs, and ensures messaging is clear, compelling, and aligned with Royal Caribbean Group’s culture, ambition, and global workforce.     The ideal candidate brings exceptional writing and storytelling skills, strong strategic judgment, and the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders. This individual must be comfortable operating autonomously and working collaboratively, leading complex communications initiatives end-to-end, and continuously evolving communications approaches to meet the needs of a dynamic, multinational organization.     Contributes to the effectiveness and adoption of HR programs that directly support employee engagement, retention, and organizational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, Journalism, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, HR communications, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic communications programs  
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling messaging.
  • Proven ability to advise and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills combined with executional excellence.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with AVP, Corporate Communications to ensure consistency across enterprise messaging and alignment with Royal Caribbean Group’s corporate narrative, culture, and employee value proposition.
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive communications strategies that support enterprise-wide HR priorities, initiatives, programs, and organizational changes.
  • Serve as an advisor to HR Centers of Excellence teams, providing strategic counsel on positioning, message framing, timing, and rollout strategy.
  • Serve as the primary communications partner to the HR Leadership Team, including HR L3 leaders, building trusted advisory relationships across the function.
  • Meet individually with HR leaders to understand their strategic goals, priorities, and business needs; translate these into integrated communication strategies that connect enterprise objectives with functional goals and actionable tactical plans.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive, annually refreshed integrated HR communications plan that aligns leader-specific goals with enterprise messaging, ensuring consistency, clarity, and impact across all HR communications.
  • Anticipate communication needs and proactively develop plans that align HR initiatives with broader corporate priorities and enterprise messaging.
  • Design and execute integrated campaigns that drive employee awareness, engagement, and adoption of HR offerings.
  • Leverage data, insights, and feedback to inform strategy and continuously improve communications effectiveness.
  • Develop high-impact content across multiple internal channels, including the employee newsletter, intranet content, campus monitors, and individual email messages.
  • Ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with corporate tone, voice, and brand standards.
  • Develop communications that reinforce employee engagement, strengthen cultural alignment, and support organizational priorities.
  • Maintain high editorial standards, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and strategic alignment across all deliverables.
  • Establish metrics and evaluation approaches to assess the effectiveness of HR communications.
  • Analyze performance data, employee feedback, and engagement metrics to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
  • May manage external vendors or agency partners, as needed.
