About The Position

We are a fast-growing $350M roofing company with 71 corporate branches and 15 franchise locations nationwide, and we are building a disciplined, field-first internal communications function to support our next phase of scale. We are seeking a Senior Manager of Internal Communications who specializes in communicating with frontline and field-based teams. This role is central to how information flows across the business—especially to branch leaders, sales teams, and operations. The ideal candidate is highly proactive, deeply organized, and comfortable operating as the central point of coordination for internal communications. They do not wait for requests—they actively gather, prioritize, and translate information from across the organization into clear, actionable messaging for the field. Internal communication is a business-critical function in our organization. This role directly impacts execution, alignment, and performance across dozens of branches and hundreds of leaders. Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in internal communications, employee communications, or corporate communications.
  • Demonstrated success communicating to frontline or field-based teams in multi-location organizations.
  • Strong experience partnering with Sales and Operations leaders.
  • Highly proactive, organized, and comfortable operating with incomplete information.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills—clear, direct, and practical.
  • Strong judgment, influence, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance speed, clarity, and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, home services, manufacturing, retail, or other field-driven industries.
  • Experience supporting large branch networks and/or franchise environments.
  • Familiarity with internal communication platforms, collaboration tools, and engagement measurement.
  • Change management or transformation communication experience.

Responsibilities

  • Field-First Internal Communications Strategy: Develop and execute a communication strategy tailored for a branch-based, field-driven organization.
  • Proactive Communication Intake & Governance: Act as the central intake point for all corporate functions, sequencing messages to prevent field overload. Enforce communication standards and push back on initiatives that lack clarity or operational utility.
  • Sales & Operations Partnership: Partner with the CSO to translate revenue initiatives, margin goals, and safety protocols into actionable direction for the field.
  • People & & Incentives Communications: Partner with the CHRO to communicate compensation plans, incentive programs, talent development initiatives, and other people-focused initiatives as needed
  • Change, Growth & Critical Communications: Lead change management messaging for organizational shifts, culture initiatives, leadership transitions, and system rollouts
  • Content Development & Distribution: Own the creation of practical, "cascade-ready" toolkits, FAQs, and executive messages across all internal channels.
  • Feedback & Messaging Optimization: Utilize field engagement metrics and direct feedback loops to continuously improve message adoption and clarity.
